Bloggers & Food Writers
Do you enjoy writing about food?

"Food bloggers have written about Smörgås Chef since we opened 4 years ago. Because of the bloggers and their articles we continue to learn, and as a result are becoming a better restaurant every year."

Morten Sohlberg,
Executive Chef

Do you have a food blog or love writing food reviews, but don't have a huge dining budget?

We at Smörgås Chef have started a program that help bloggers write anonymously, objectively and without "special treatment" that could influence their experience our restaurants.

Here is how it works:

1.) Come dine at the one of our 3 restaurants, without making it known to the staff that you plan to write about it. Then send us the receipt of your meal and a copy of the review. See instructions on how to submit below.

2.) On your next visit to the restaurant, your dinner is on us! For up to the same amount as what you spent on your previous visit. In short; you are paying for the dining experience you are writing about, but you are not paying when you return! That way you can remain objective and anonomous.

3.) You can write anything you want, but you should cover the usual subjects, like food, presentation, ambiance, tempo, and of course service. Please verify that your server's name is on the receipt (if not sure, just ask your server).
If you have any questions, feel free to email blogs@smorgas.com

Instructions:

• When you send us a copy of the review and your receipt, along with your mailing address, we will immediately mail you a giftcard for the amount you dined for as per the receipt (except for tax and gratuity). The giftcard t is valid at all 3 restaurants. Enjoy your next visit!

• You can FAX the receipt, a copy of the review, and the link to the review/blog where it appears on the web, as well as your name and mailing address (Fax: 212 255 2612).

• Or you can EMAIL us with a scan of the receipt, a link to the blog/review, and your name/mailing address, then email itt staff@smorgaschef.com.

• You can post your review to your personal blog, or other public food blogs. You can also post to Citysearch, Menupages etc, but it has to be a real and substantive blog or review, not a two-liner like "nice food, great weather".

• Please limit the size of your group for your initial visit (that you're writing about) to no larger than 4.

• You can spend as much or as little as you want as long as you get enough of an experience to write about it.

• New blogs only. Only those posted from October 8, 2007 and on are eligible.

• Blogger or writers who have friends or family working at our restaurant cannot participate in order to maintain objectivity.

• Reservations are recommended.
